Thank YOU! Recap for 2016 and what I'm looking forward too!
Happy New Year, welcome 2017!
and- 2016 Ended with a Bang!
I'd like to take a moment to thank you. Thank you for being interested in art, and in supporting it. Without you, patrons of the arts, art could not exist. I encourage you to continue to buy from local artists, and support them in every way you can. Please don't buy those pre-made, pre-printed canvas art sold at big box stores, get something unique! Something special, and help support an artist, and the economy. Artists are real people, we are entrepreneurs, and every sale, no matter how small, helps us thrive. So, thank you, I truly and genuinely thank you.
Wow what a Fall/Holiday Season! I participated in art shows all over.... San Francisco, two Solo shows in Tucson at "Tiny Town Gallery", a group show in Phoenix, one in Paris, France at Metanoia Galerie, and two local art fairs, one in Tucson and one in Scottsdale, AZ and beyond! What a whirl wind! I also painted a mural, taught a new class, and participated in some art fairs too!

Tiny Town Solo Show, "Monsoon Inspirations" in Tucson, 2016
I won two awards this Fall/holiday season as well, I won 4th place for a Monsoon Inspired painting, and First place for an abstract Charcoal Drawing I made! Exciting!
I also taught a class at Upcycle Tucson, this place is amazing, everything is about creating arts/ crafts with recycled and donated items. My small business I call "Rustic Splinters", is made from recycled/reclaimed wood, so I fit right in!
Some of you have contacted me, or signed up for my email through art shows, or craft fairs, or possibly because you where interested in art classes or painting events. This is a great place to reach me -email, oilpaint27@gmail.com. Maybe you saw an art piece you are still thinking of, or wanted to sign up for an art class, maybe you where interested in commissioning me for something, It's a new year, and now is the time! Reach out and lets collaborate! You can find me in two different venues, you can find Fine Art at www.leannecmiller.com, and you can find my crafty/illustrative/interior decor side at www.etsy.com/shop/rusticsplinters .

This year I have a few plans, I have applied for the StartUp Art Fair in San Francisco in April, and I have the 4th Ave Street fair again, which was a wild success for my Rustic Splinters small business. I also have a show coming up called "Spectrum" at BG Gallery in Santa Monica, CA in June. That's exciting because I have never shown my work in Southern California before. Crazy I know, especially because I lived in Cali for 12 years! But I'll tell you this, living in Nor Cal/ Bay Area, you feel pretty far from LA. I have a few other plans in the works, but I'll keep them to myself for now.
I hope your New Year begins smoothly, and accelerates into total and utter success as time moves us forward!
Best,
Leanne
